General FAQs
What types of rubber do you sell?
We offer a wide range of rubber materials, including Neoprene, EPDM, Nitrile, Silicone, Viton, SBR, Gum Rubber, and more --available in sheet, roll, strip, and gasket form.
What is the difference between Neoprene, EPDM, and Nitrile?
Neoprene: General-purpose rubber with good oil resistance.
EPDM: Best for outdoor, UV, ozone, and water resistance.
Nitrile (buna-N): Excellent oil & fuel resistance.
What does "durometer" mean?
Durometer measures rubber hardness. Lower numbers (e.g. 40A) are softer and more flexible, while higher numbers (e.g, 70-90A) are harder and more rigid.
What does "elongation" mean in rubber materials?
Elongation refers to how much a rubber material can stretch before breaking, expressed as a percentage of it's original length. For example, a sheet with 400% elongation can stretch to four times it's original length before it tears. Higher elongation means the material is more flexible and stretchable — ideal for applications that require movement, vibration absorption, or sealing uneven surfaces.
Can I order custom sizes or thicknesses?
Yes! We cut rubber to your exact dimensions. Custom thicknesses, strips, rolls or gasket shapes can be quoted upon request.
Can you use my drawings to cut custom gaskets?
Yes! We specialize in custom-cut rubber using your exact dimensions or drawings. Whether you need gaskets, strips, pads or complex shapes, our CNC equipment ensures precise, clean, and consistent cuts every time.
Do you offer adhesive backing?
Yes! Most sheet rubber can be laminated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) for easy peel-and-stick installation.
