Chloroprene Rubber (CR) or polychloroprene, which is the chemical name of Neoprene Rubber, is one of the most versatile synthetic elastomers available. Often recognized by the trade name Neoprene®, this durable material is widely used across industrial, commercial and manufacturing applications due to its excellent resistance to weathering, oils, heat and environmental exposure.

Neoprene rubber offers outstanding durability and maintains excellent flexibility, elongation and tensile strength across a broad temperature range. It resists degradation from sunlight, ozone, oxidation and harsh weather conditions, making it an ideal material for both indoor and outdoor environments.

Compared to natural rubber, neoprene provides enhanced resistance to aging, petroleum-based oils, mild chemicals, solvents, silicone oils and greases, as well as water exposure. It also performs exceptionally well in refrigeration and sealing 

applications, with resistance to substances such as Freon® and ammonia.
